Bernard Leslie Green (1931-1998) was a distinguished painter and print maker specialising in linocuts.
He trained between 1948-53, including a post graduate year at Birmingham College of Art 1973-74. His work was exhibited at The Royal Cambrian Academy, The Birmingham Society, Royal West of England Academy and The Royal Society of Painters, Etchers and Engravers. His work was admired by many including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II who chose his portrayal of Caernarfon Castle for use on the Royal Tele message for Wales. Bernard Green’s work is represented in collections in 19 countries of the world and 29 public collections in the UK including The Guggenheim collection New York.
